The weather was cold and windy, but Melbourne’s weather is lovely today. There was no wind so I managed to take some photos.
These plants have been left to fend for themselves over Melbourne’s winter while I was away, with a dripper that feeds water once a week. It was nice to come home to see some flowers :)
These plants have been untouched, so here are some blooms with spider webs.
This is the first time I am seeing so many of these Kalanchoe blooms. Maybe I should go away more often.
The Crassula Diane is a very hardy variety, and may have taken over some pots…
The Jade Plant is also quite hardy
Succulents all squished together – it’s survival of the fittest
If you can, grow tall – I’ve got to do something about these
And these…
There are lots to do… Happy gardening.

Very nice. I've never seen that second Kalanchoe flower before. I wish our winters were as warm as yours. :)
OMG, the pink flowers are truly amazing and with the web, gr8 effect!
Good Day, Ev:)

Thank you. Melbourne winters are relatively mild compared to yours. I am thankful for that.
> Hello Deepa
Thanks. It's been a long time - good to see you. Hope you are well.
> Thanks Carol
It's great to be back. It has been quite an adventure. Take care, Evelyn
Evelyn these flowers and plants are so beautiful. Your photos are awesome. And I to have never seen such beautiful Kalanchoe blooms. They are amazing. Your succulents are doing so well and your drip system must be watering them just right. I am envious of your mild winter.
They are the best plants for looking after themselves while you are away. They have done well. I also have a lot of work to do in my garden after being away.
Hi,
once again another brilliant set of pictures :) They're lovely. I have a Kalanchoe at home and I have no idea what it is, maybe you can help me out on this one. It currently stands at over 3 feet tall and I think it might be ready to bloom but since I am not sure what the actual plant is I have no idea what to do with it!
You can see some pictures on my blog and perhaps give me an idea:

Thanks and keep up the good work.
Hi, I am suspect but...very beautiful succulents. Hugs, Sueli.
What a beautiful sight to come home to, such pretty flowers. I envy the ease at which you get succulents to bloom. What are the flowers in the fourth picture?
Thanks everyone for dropping by.
> Candy: Thanks. Yes, the mild winter means that I don't have to worry too much about protecting the plants when it gets colder.
> Melanie: Thanks. The 4th photo shows Kalanchoe uniflora. They are good for hanging baskets :)
the first few pink flower pics are so lovely!
You have lots of flowers and greenery around the house. Happy gardening to you!
Your plants are gorgeous! So wonderful that they did so well while you were gone!
Hi Evelyn, Long time, almost 1.5 years...I'm hoping to get back to blogging soon. Missed your blog. Checked out a few posts, and they are gorgeous as ever. See you around..
Beautiful photos! You have such a lovely garden.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. The blog header is indeed a self portrait of me, I painted it recently, it's of me in 2006 (I'm a little older now).
Enjoy the gardening.
xx
Depending on the weather - for YEARS. We had to leave it in the USA with a friend when we moved to Colombia. Do you know the name of it?
