Japanese Tea Garden, San Francisco

Here are some photos which I posted on my other blog, but I thought they are appropriate for this blog as well, although not all photos are garden-related.

I visited the Japanese Tea Garden recently. It’s a beautiful place.

Interesting bridge stones. Walk carefully or you will get wet.

I didn’t get a chance to climb this bridge – it was full of kids. There was hardly room for me to take this photo, balancing myself on another bridge with excited parents, who were taking snapshots of their children.

Before the crowd came…. The bridge in front was the one that I was able to stand on, to take the above photo.

I love the stone lanterns. The garden is so lush.

Fabulous place. I spent many hours here drawing.

Another lantern, and a fence (sometimes ropes are used) along a path by the pond/lake

Lots of moss on the ground, and a beautifully trimmed bush in the background

Udon © Evelyn Howard 2011

There’s a tea house in the Japanese Tea Garden. I had udon, and it made me think of my time in Japan.

I hope you enjoyed the photos.

Hello dear Evelyn,

Thank you for dropping by for your lovely message on my new born niece.

I hope I can go here to sample the Japanese tea and also to marvel the beauty of its cool zen Japanese architectural & structure!

Wooo! Hot Udon is my favourite too. I love my home cook udon so much! Thank you evelyn, this made me want to eat another bowl of udon since March....
