Lavender and dandelion

I took these couple of close-up shots last weekend in Daylesford. I think holiday photos are often nicer…

Dandelions are so pretty, but so evil. They make my grandsons eyes swell shut. They were all over Germany and he suffered so much. Since he has been home, he hasn't had any problems! We do have them here, but no where near the number! I had never seen so many as when I went there...they were just so gorgeous covering the countrysides!!! Your close up is lovely!!!

I agree. Dandelions are so bittersweet. They can be lovely and their seed pods are so interesting. But there so invasive. But they're rich in vitamins... but allergies... but....

I just love lavender of any kind. Dandelions make me want to blow the seeds as I did as a child :-)

Great photo of the lavender. In fact it's so good I can smell the aroma. Well, I can ALMOST smell it. :)

Thanks for visiting The Aware Write Evelyn. I do like your flower shots today. Our flowers are coming up all over now. Time to get the tripod and my macro gear out again.

«Louis» likes the image of the lavender - must be the Français in him. (He also likes the image of the dandelion, but not what they do to the yards....)

The dandelion often gets overlooked as a pesky weed but you've shown it to be very beautiful. Your lavender shot is wonderful too. Thanks for sharing Evelyn.
