Yummy blooms

Well, to the bird anyway…  I was cycling and spotted these lovely blooms. I stopped just next to the shrub, and the bird didn’t seem to care even though I was quite close. It must be having a nice time.

According to my research, this plant is called Banksia. It is often seen along the Australian coast.

A couple of lobelias…

When the wind stopped yesterday, I went onto the balcony and managed these two photos.

This photo was taken while I was taking a walk along the coast this morning. I am surprised that this plant is identified as weed in parts of Australia…

TodaysFlowers Hope you are having a nice weekend.

Even the bird looks exotic :) The plant looks like a sort of conifer? The flowers are very striking.

It is so enjoyable to see the exotic flowers from other countries. These are magnificent as is the bird you caught in your top photo. Thanks so much for sharing them with Today's Flowers. Have a great week.

The banksia looks as though it was embroidered, or knitted or something, with the loops coming out like that! Or maybe a flower crossed with corn on the cob!

What neat flowers the Banksia are! Do you know what type of bird that is eating from it?

I saw Banksia trees out in Hawaii for the first time this winter. They are fantastic.
