Succulent photos

Happy Cactus Monday.

Only the last 2 i.e. the agave and yucca shown below are mine.

Beautiful orange blooms of Cotyledon Orbiculata (I’m quite sure, but please feel free to correct me)

Agave – a small one

Yucca © Evelyn Howard 2010

Yucca – a short one (see my sketch below). I am determined to keep this small, and will chop it when it grows tall…

And finally, a glimpse of my balcony via a page in my sketchbook. My yucca and agave in the above photos are shown below.

Indeed, they are sensational succulents the way you show them. I especially love the jade plant through the fence and your sketch!

I have never seen one bloom like the first one...very pretty. I like your recent work of the lady with the mask (facial). :)

What a pretty rendering you've drawn! I wish I had a plant to show. It's snowing here in Texas. Not much to show right now. (Sigh...)

Hi Evelyn - I love succulents too. I grew up in Arizona where succulents thrive. My fave is the pale blue-green rosettes. Your sketches are lovely too - I like your style!!!

Hey Evelyn...you inspire me to transform my succulent section. however, the summers are awful in delhi - the temp soars to 46 C ~ 114 F, and succulents don't quite respond well to the heat (contrary to popular belief that it should). Loved the pictures...

Evelyn, the flowers in the first image would make a splendid watercolor!

When I was a kid, I was SOOOO into cacti. I inherited a giant something-or-another that was many, many years old. I have none now, but I still love them. Beautiful things here.
