Zooming right in

Crassula socialis © Evelyn Howard, 2009I got real close to the Crassula socialis recently, and it’s lovely to finally be able to see each teeny tiny flower.

In case you are not familiar with this plant, the size of the entire bunch in the picture is about the diameter of a pen ( I have a pen in the above photo for comparison), hence each flower (of 5 petals) is only as big as the small end of a toothpick. Even though it is so tiny, each flower is perfectly formed and beautiful – see below!

How petite, yet stunning...would be so pretty in a bridal bouquet, wouldn't it??? Great close up shot!!!
