Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
My post today is about my lovely indoor plant, Spathiphyllum also known as Peace Lily. I have had it for almost 10 years, and it is my oldest plant.
I am thrilled – it’s Springtime in Australia, and the first bloom for the season has appeared!
And the second bloom won’t be long – see below.
This is a very hardy plant, hardly needing much sunlight nor attention. It wilts when it does not get enough water, but bounces back soon after I water it. Once when I was away for 2 weeks, I left it in a dark room. When I returned, it had not even wilted – I think it became dormant with no light nor water.

WOW...this plant sounds like the one for me! If it can make it without much light...my house is fairly dark inside...marvelous! The blooms are really beautiful as well.
Evelyn...check out this beautiful pink Aloe plant my Blogger pal, Rosemarie has in California...RIGHT HERE! I have to find one!
Have a happy Sunday!
@Julie: it's pretty amazing - I've never seen any like it! Thanks for the link :)
What a lovely clear white colour - if its as indestuctible as you say it sounds like a really good indoor plant.
Silly questions but do you wipe it clean and how does it react to heating?
@Cathy: I have wiped it only a few times in the last 10 years :{ ... we use heating at home but not a lot, it's ok with that.... but I can't tell you what happens with extreme heating...
I can remember "peace lily." This one always eludes me. Beautiful!
Hehehe, we have the same name!
This shot is in its perfection! You have taken good care of your lily. The leaves are even very shiny! You have the magic touch.
Take care and enjoy your week!
Very pretty!
Beautiful flower. Great shot
Thanks for visiting me too

This flower is so pretty, and if it's hardy and doesn't need much light too, it may be one I can have! I'm going to see if it's available around here, I'm really glad to have read this post.
