Happy Cactus Monday. I have some mixed content in today’s “Cactus Monday” post… Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
Succulent painting fun
I have decided to join in the painting fun this week, and here’s my piece inspired by my little pink Sedum jelly bean plant (Sedum rubrotinctum pink pictured below) with the clouds echoing the shapes of the plants…
Sedum rubrotinctum pink
More flowers…
I know I have posted some pictures of flowers such as the one below in my previous post, but today, there seem to be more flowers… I am quite thrilled.
Re-using tin cans
I like the look of this food can with cuttings of my jade plant. I think the shiny and dented surface (in some parts) add character to the pot. I made a number of holes at the bottom of the can to allow water to flow out.
I made a few of these for a vertical garden that I’m building (click here), but I think they look pretty good on their own as pots.
Thanks for reading.

Happy Cactus Monday and I enjoy visiting all your blogs:)
The shots above are so sweet and fascinating!
Beautiful minimal illustration too:)
Like the colours you have chosen for it.
Bye!
Oh, Evelyn, you painting is so sweet...love the clouds and sedum together like that...what a great idea!
I, too love that shiny tin can as a planter. Now...I just can't hardly wait to see your vertical garden...this is something I wanted to acheive for bromeliads at one point (I think I have given up on that idea)...but for succulents...that is another story altogether!!! (Anything for my babies)! LOL.
Happy Ccatus Monday!
Love ya...Julie
I like how you saw the pink Sedum as cloud shapes. The food can makes a stunning pot for your jade plant. Happy Cactus Monday!
I love those little pink succulents! they are just darling! HCM!
Your painting is very good. I remember years ago using food cans for various plants. There wasn't as many sources for pots back then. I had fun painting them different colors too.
Thanks for stopping by everyone :)
@ Julie: have missed you while your internet was down. LOL - I refer to my succulents as my babies too!
@ Dee: they are my favourite :)
@ Lisa: maybe I'll paint them eventually.
I love the illustration, really nice.
*Urban Green grabs it and runs away*
