I love zooming in. The little flowers seem more significant

You have seen this a few weeks ago, but they have not bloomed.

Pig face © Evelyn Howard 2010

We call this Pig Face (ice plant) in Australia. It was a very hard one to photograph last week. I have attempted to photograph it a few times when there was no wind, only to find the flower closed up. Anyway, see next photo…

Ice Plant © Evelyn Howard 2010

This is a photo from last season.

cactus_sjimmieI have a few ongoing but not very exciting activities on my balcony including
  • Replacing my watering system, which decided to stop working
  • Repositioning pots as I am getting some sun on the balcony, and
  • Re-potting, etc.
Wish I have more space to buy new plants! Happy gardening and have a great week.

I second Teri! These blooms are so pretty...the Echeveria's are one of my favorites. The ice plants are wonderful, I have the heart leaf variety, and they also have the brightest yellow and dark pink blooms!

Beautiful blooms! Succulents have some of the prettiest blooms I think! Looks like you have a busy week. I have to get things ready in my garage for hibernation! Bummer!

The flowers of the iceplant are so pretty. I grew them one summer on my south facing deck. Have a good week Evelyn.
