Does this look like it could be an evil man-eating giant flower one sees in the movies?
I can’t decide if I like it or not…It belongs to the Graptoveria on the left. I had forgotten what its flowers look like, so I was a little surprised when it bloomed.
I love Sedum Gold Mound. It is one of the first few succulents I started with.

The pink flower looks like an Astilbe. They're native to that part of the world so I wouldn't be shocked if that was what it is.

Evelyn- I love the lime green colour of the sedum. That flower you found in Korea is exquisite, I've never seen it before.
I think the flower is lovely. Not big and showy, just a pleasant "hello." The one that looks like our annual cockscomb (Celosia) begs to be stroked.
Is it soft and feathery?

Based on suggested names, I have been on google - I think it might be Chinese Astibe. I wish I could see the leaves but that's the only photo I have.
No sure if it was soft or feathery - was too afraid to touch it in case it was poisonous!

In my opinion these are one of the greatest shade tolerant perennials around. Can't go too far wrong with them.
I grow astilbes, also. They add a lot of color in my shade garden.
I love the graptovera blooms. They are so delicate and simple.
