Moss in Japanese gardens

A few mossy photos to share…

I have enjoyed seeing moss covered gardens in Japan. Here’s one with a thick groundcover. There are stepping stones, so visitors can avoid walking on the moss.

And another…

Moss – lovely, moist, soft, mushy, green, wet…

Have a nice weekend.

Those are such beautiful gardens. I could never get my garden to look like that here, it's too dry.

What great shots and moss never looked so beautiful. I agree with you that moss atop the stone lantern give it character.

What a lovely green carpet and much easier than grass to take care off. Beautiful photos Evelyn.
