Greetings from KL

Happy Cactus Monday. Hope you had a nice weekend.

All the photos in today’s mixed post of cactus and other plants were taken in the past few days in Kuala Lumpur.

Cactus © Evelyn Howard 2010

This is a little cactus belongs to my brother – I think it’s quite cute that they seem to go on top of one another.

This was mine when I lived in KL. Now it belongs to my Mom. Great to see it thriving.

Mom’s bougainvillea

Palm © Evelyn Howard 2010

My brother’s palm tree – I love the red trunk

Ornamental pineapple © Evelyn Howard 2010

This ornamental pineapple looks impressive but a little fake to me! I put my camera over the fence at the brother’s :). It belongs to his neighbour.

Papaya © Evelyn Howard 2010

Another neighbour’s plant – this papaya tree sure is happy. The fruits look very juicy!

I am enjoying looking all the different varieties of plants here in the tropics. I will upload more photos soon. Please excuse me as I will be a little slow getting to your blogs, but I will be there!

The palm and the pineapple both have some amazing color that at first glance they do look almost fake. So beautiful though!
