Yellow, blue and red flowers

Hope you are having a nice weekend. Here are some photos I took this week:

Agapanthus © Evelyn Howard 2010

Agapanthus – a  recent addition to my garden

Bok choy flower © Evelyn Howard 2010

Yellow flowers from my bok choy plant… not spectacular but the stalk adds to my simple arrangement (next photo)…

Bok choy flower and mint © Evelyn Howard 2010

The bok choy flowers and mint stalks arrangement decorates my kitchen bench.

The mint makes the space smell good. This is an easy way to propagate mint. When roots appear, I just put the stalks into soil, and cut more mint from an existing plant for another arrangement.

Pepper berries © Evelyn Howard 2010

Pepper berries (a guess, so please correct me if I am wrong) from the neighbourhood park. Okay, these are not flowers… but they are still pretty :). I also love the foliage.

Have a nice week ahead.

I think I have the last one..Schinus molle. There is this tree south of there. It is the type of tree where the trunk gets super narly and makes it look much older than it really is. Also, the leaves smell like pepper when you crush them in your hand. I love this tree. Thanks!

Yes I like the pepper tree it is weeping and I like that look. Flowers from herbs or vegetables look delightful. Always enjoy also your drawings.
Wagon wheels used to be a popular snack at school! I guess not any more, sweets are out now.
