Photos from the mountains

I have just returned from a weekend away, so I am taking the easy way out. I am combining Today’s Flowers and Cactus Monday into one post.

I went to a-3 day of yoga retreat in the mountains. It was a lovely place with fantastic views. My body is slightly sore, but I am feeling energized :). I hope that you enjoy these photos.

We took a couple of walks in the state forest, and here are two photos taken in the forest.

I really like some of your photos!! I thought I was the only person in the world taking photos of bull thistles!!! but I do like yours! And if those are artichoke flowers, then you have answered a question that has been bothering me since last summer when I saw them growing at the local college! I have them labelled as spiky things, at the moment!

I like your mountain pictures especially the thistle against the dry grass, the second succulent that looks almost metallic and the sunrise.

It is delightful seeing blooms when all is grey and brown here. These remind me that spring can't be all that far away. HCM.

Your photos are gorgeous. I'm looking forward to coming back to your blog to read about Australia and succulents. I grow many as house plants and a few that are hardy in my frigid northern Canadian garden. Your yoga retreat sounds like fun. I started a yoga class last week, I'm really enjoying it.

Ah! What more could you ask of a retreat: the reason you attended plus plenty of plants to photograph!
