Adding colours, plus sedum joy

Friday just crept up on me, and I’m totally unprepared for Fertilizer Friday post. I went onto my balcony with my camera, when the sun is shining bright. Not an ideal time for photography, but I managed a few…

I have got a few new additions to the garden (first 2 photos):

Rosemary plant © Evelyn Howard 2010
I bought some lovely blue and white annuals to brighten up the rosemary pot

Ficus pimula and kangaroo paw © Evelyn Howard 2010
Another addition is this kangaroo paw, which I planted in front of my ficus pimula. When the creeper plant fills up, the orange blooms will hopefully stand-out.

Sedum Little Missy © Evelyn Howard 2010

I love plants which trails down my pots, and the Sedum Little Missy above does just that. Now they are flowering… These are planted in my Agave pot.

Sedum Little Missy and chilli plant © Evelyn Howard 2010

The same Sedum planted in my chilli pot. Unlike the Agave pot which I water once a week in summer, my chilli pot gets water every other day. I am learning that the Sedum likes more water… Although these are not yet flowering, they look better (more plump) than the ones in the Agave pot.

That’s it from me this week.

Have a lovely weekend and happy gardening.

Did you click on the link to witness the actual abduction of «Louis»? ;-)

I like the kangaroo paw and the little blue flowers. I'm going to try growing some Sedum this year.

I wish it was that sunny and warm here. I love your combinations. The Kangaroo paw looks really neat, and it does stand out already against the dark green ficus.

Pretty combinations! I really like the additions to the rosemary. The sedum that you have is a pretty shade of green in the last photo. :) Amy
