Cactus Monday - succulent photos and paintings

Happy Cactus Monday. Hope you had a nice weekend.

I have a new addition to the succulent family recently – the Sedum Green Mound (below) will grow to a height of 10 inches/25 cm. I’m planting it at the edge of my pot so that it will eventually spill over...

I have been doing a bit of re-potting, and here are my 2 chocolate container pots.

On the left, the Kalanchoe FlapJack is planted with Crassula Dianne. The Kalanchoe was outdoors on the balcony, and some insect (I couldn’t find the culprit) decided to chomp on its leaves. I took it into the house, and replanted it before the insect gets to it again…

On the right, the Rhoeo (Moses in the Cradle) has a container all to itself. This lovely plant has purple and green leaves (see photo below). It will reach 8 inches/20 cm tall, and can be grown as a ground cover…

And finally, here are 2 little paintings inspired by one of my Kalanchoe plant…

I really like your bold paintings of the cacti. They look like graphic designs that could be used on fabric or something. Your real plants are beautiful too. HCM!

I love your Kalanchoe artwork that celebrates shapes and colors of the plants. The backgrounds are fun and really make the plants sing.

@Julie: Thanks :). Re plant... been looking on the web, the Rhoeo is the scientific name. Commonly known as the oyster plant!
